Our Mission 

The mission of the Bulverde Spring Branch Activity Center is to enhance the lives of seniors through programs involving education, exercise, social activities, health and communities service in an environment that provides opportunities for seniors to remain active and self-sufficient.

 

We also have an associate membership for those who are not quite the senior age, please see our membership page for additional information.

 

We strive to provide a friendly meeting place for our seniors to gather socially as well as a place to keep our bodies and minds active and productive to enjoy a good quality of life.

The Center does not receive any city, county, state or federal funding. All revenue is secured by fundraisers, community support, our thrift store and grant funding. We appreciate your support!​

We are honored that the Bulverde Spring Branch Activity Center has received a grant from the John L. Santikos Charitable Foundation of the San Antonio Area Foundation.

For more than 50 years, the San Antonio Area Foundation has served as the community foundation for the San Antonio area. The Area Foundation helps donors achieve their charitable goals and serves as a collaborative leader, investing in the future of our community by bringing people together to address key community issues. The Area Foundation manages more than 500 charitable funds and $905 million in assets. Since 1964, $358 million in scholarships and grants have been awarded to nonprofits that educate youth, preserve the environment, protect animals, fund research and provide a variety of services that enhance the quality of life in our region. Inclement Weather Procedure

The next several months may present opportunities for inclement weather. If bad weather is in the forecast, the Bulverde Spring Branch Activity Center will follow COMAL ISD school closures.  You are encouraged to access the following news sources for up-to-date information.

San Antonio TV Stations:   KENS, KABB, KSAT, and WOAI

Area Radio Stations:  WOAI 1200 AM, KTSA 550 AM, and KGNB 1420 AM/KNBT 92.1 FM

Cable TV Information:  New Braunfels

On mornings when possible hazardous conditions exist, school officials will check the roads. The Superintendent will inform area radio stations by 6 a.m. Earlier notices will be given the previous day or evening, whenever possible. Please check these sources before venturing out on the roads.​

The center will initiate an automated phone call to alert members of center closure or delay in opening.
